Title: A cross sectional study on various menstrual hygiene products used among college going students of central Gujarat, India

Abstract

Introduction: The awareness about menstruation has improved in the Indian society through education and other medium. Unfortunately, there is not as much awareness about menstrual hygiene products. 
Aims : In this study we plan to traces intricacy by considering quantitative assessment of the student’s preference, knowledge of it, rating of reliability and acceptability of different hygiene products. Secondary aim of the study will be focused on identifying the challenges and discomfort frequently faced by women’s while using this hygiene product.
Methodology: It will be descriptive type of study mainly focusing on knowledge, attitude, and practice of menstrual hygiene product among young females. 
Result: This research has included a total number of 186 medical students, most of them are well aware of the menstrual hygiene product and their use.75% percent student faced problem while using but it do not hamper their daily activities. 
Conclusion: Disposable pads are the most favored choice due to their convenience, hygiene, comfort, and high absorption capacity. Nonetheless, users of disposable pads often encounter issues such as skin irritation, leakage, unpleasant odour, and infection.
